Covering a tragic death - two video reports

Let's learn from these to videos.  These news reports were filed to cover the sudden death of St. Peter's Prep swimmer B.J. Giannone.

The first report is from Nyier Abdou, from the Newark Star Ledger.  The report focuses on the reactions of the friends of the 18-year-old who had just died.

The second report has a different "angle", that of B.J.'s teammates as they competed in the next swim meet after their teammate had died.  The report was also filed by Nyier Abdou, two days after the first video.

Andre Melok of NJ.com filed this report about the Montgomery HS drumline, who provided their services during the Devils playoff games against the Rangers.  What can we learn from this report?
